Chapter 27 poster

I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who was shocked to see a fat Jared Leto. There he was, one of the greatest looking men on Earth, Cammy D’s ex, the mascara-wearing lead of the prog-rock band 30 Seconds to Mars—and he was fat. Fortunately, Jared didn’t tarnish his gazelle-like physique on a diet of 99 cent double cheeseburgers from McDonald’s. No, this was Jared the thespian, taking his shot at the same kind of glory achieved by other notorious weight-gainers like Robert DeNiro. And it was for his role as Marc David Chapman, the man who some may argue turned John Lennon into a god. The film is CHAPTER 27 and BELOW there’s a small version of the film’s one-sheet. Lindsay Lohan costars as Chapman’s friend Jude, although I doubt he had a friend who looked like her in reality. The film screened at Sundance to a warm reception, but I haven’t been able to find a release date yet. But when there is, look for it to be limited.
