Timothy Olyphant has signed up to star in an action thriller called PERFECT GETAWAY from writer/director David Twohy (THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK). Variety aren’t really letting anything known about the flick, save for that it’s about a newlywed couple who encounter two strange hikers. Strange like how? Like they’re crazed killers? Or like they enjoyed MAID IN MANHATTAN? I guess we’ll just have to see. I don’t know if this is gonna be a continuation of Olyphant’s foray into action-star territory, but I’ll give this guy time of day. I loved his delivery of the line “There is a human being named Overdose?” And also because I like to pretend his family got their names from when they – back in olden times – hunted those huge giant elephant things from THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
PERFECT GETAWAY will begin shooting in March in Puerto Rico.
