Noyce helms Mary

JoBloJoBlo

Phillip Noyce (PATRIOT GAMES) has been brought in to direct MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS, another period piece which surprisingly isn’t starring Keira Knightley, but Scarlett Johansson. The film will chronicle the life of young Mary, paying particular attention to the strained political and person relationship that she shared with her father’s cousin, Queen Elizabeth of England. It’s clear that Johansson looks absolutely nothing like Mary, but this is at once the major problem and also the major positive. The film is written by Jimmy McGovern (LIAM).
