Lauren Ambrose has replaced Michelle Williams as the voice of KW, one of the Wild Things in Spike Jonze’s WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. You may remember Ambrose as the tortured yet ultimately redeemed Claire, on HBO’s SIX FEET UNDER, but to me she’ll always be Florence, from PSYCHO BEACH PARTY. Michelle Williams supposedly left the project only because the filmmakers didn’t see her voice fitting in with their vision of how the Wild Things should sound. Ambrose is currently starring in the Fox series THE RETURN OF JEZEBEL JAMES, and although this new role won’t exactly launch her acting career into the stratosphere, working with Spike Jonze ain’t too bad at all. WILD THINGS is about a boy named Max who visits a strange imaginary world where creatures called the Wild Things make him their king. You can check it next fall.
