According to Variety, director Kevin Smith has found his Zack and Miri to make a porno together, and their names in real life are Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. The two have been cast as the leads in ZACK & MIRI MAKE A PORNO, Smith’s tale of two platonic friends who make a porno for some extra cash, and end up falling for each other. Rogen was rumoured for the part, and ever since Rosario Dawson had to drop out (the role was written for her), we had no idea who’d be cast as Miri. I think Banks is a perfect fit in the Smith universe, and needless to say, so is Rogen. Having said that, it may be a touch strange so see Rogen exiting such a pronounced comedic universe (Apatow’s) and entering another one. But then again, exiting and entering are what pornos are all about, so maybe this will work out. What do you think?
