Newbie joins Tetro

JoBloJoBlo

Imagine being found by Steven Spielberg. Now imagine being found via some video you made for your buddy’s bat mitzvah. Now imagine that both of these things actually happened; isn’t this an incredible world? Apparently, Alden Ehrenreich has been chosen by Francis Ford Coppola to star in his family drama, TETRO, after Spielberg saw him on a video at a bat mitzvah and recommended him to Coppola. The film is about a young man (Ehrenreich) who travels to Buenos Aires to look for his brother, who left the family years earlier. Maribel Verdu (PAN’S LABYRINTH) will play the brother’s girlfriend, while Javier Bardem (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN) has been offered the key role of an Argentinian literary critic named Unknown. You know people are always trying to figure out how to be mysterious, how to build up that air of elusiveness; that’s how you do it, baby, change your name to Unknown.
