A movie called QUARANTINED has nabbed itself a nifty little cast, and if you’ve got even a decent vocabulary, you’d be able to astutely discern from the title that this motion picture will be about some really sick people. Jay Hernandez (HOSTEL), Columbus Short (STOMP THE YARD) and Jennifer Carpenter, who plays Dexter’s leggy and lippy sister, have all signed on to star in this movie about a rabies outbreak in an LA building.
The film is an adaptation of a Spanish horror movie which hasn’t even been released yet (how do they know what to adapt??), and was written by John Erick Dowdle and his brother Drew, with the former directing. The last time these two broheems got together was on the minutely-budgeted horror flick THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES. No word yet on whether the infected will turn into super-human death eaters, but the last time I had rabies, I just puked and farted a lot, so I’m not sure if this will be a horror movie or a gross-out comedy.
