Romijn & Cumming reunite

JoBloJoBlo

Finally, Rebecca Romijn and Alan Cumming have signed on to star in the long-awaited Nightcrawler/Mystique prequel and love story entitled HATTER. The film will center on a ‘hedonistic fashion designer’ and the journalist who discovers his secrets. I’m guessing before becoming an X-Man, Nightcrawler was a fashion designer? I wouldn’t have guessed that at all. His outfits were always kinda drab, no? And that must make Mystique the journalist. No word yet on whether or not this will be a part of the X-MEN: ORIGINS umbrella that the Wolverine and Magneto films are falling under, but I would imagine it would.

The film is being described as a riff on the Mad Hatter’s tea party scene from ALICE IN WONDERLAND, making all of this even more bizarre. It will be the first feature from director James Killough and shooting it scheduled to start this spring in Eastern Europe. Looks like I’m headed to Eastern Europe to give Rebecca the life-size replica I made of her, using pipe cleaner and Styrofoam. Also, for those of you are utterly confused right now, that whole X-Men riff was just me trying to be creative. I guess I failed. Sorry.
