Early reviews don’t seem to have been fantastic, but I still can’t wait to see THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD. The film just has too much talent involved in it to suck, right? Ropes of Silicon have a bunch of new clips which you can check out over HERE. Brad Pitt gets his groove on as the legendary outlaw, while Casey Affleck – to paraphrase one of the clips – gives me the willies. Which seems perfect for the character he’s playing. We’ve heard about the massive behind the scenes disagreements over creative direction but I’m seriously hoping that Andrew Dominik (CHOPPER)’s vision gets the nod. If you didn’t know, or would like to hear it again, the movie follows Robert Ford as he joins Jesse James’ gang. Over time though, he becomes resentful of the man and hatches a plan to kill him. Pitt and Affleck are backed up by Sam Rockwell, Zooey Deschanel, Jeremy Renner, Paul Schneider and loads more talented cats.
