The DAN IN REAL LIFE trailer has been up on our site for a short while now, but in case some of you missed it, I implore you to watch it, and take note of Steve Carrell’s performance in it. The thing is so damn nuanced, and so darn sweet, it hurts to think a talent like this was wasted making EVAN ALMIGHTY. DAN follows a widower played by Carrell who raises three daughters, and then has the unfortunate luck to follow in love with his brother’s girlfriend. Granted Dane Cook and Juliette Binoche are an odd pairing, but they’re interesting nonetheless. and I’m glad the producers went and chose a sophisticated French actress and not a generic American one. This trailer wouldn’t have the same effect if that was Amanda Peet Dan was pining for. Check the trailer out over HERE.
