Jackson wanted for Hobbit

JoBloJoBlo

Apparently the crazy fog has lifted and New Line have realized that hiring anyone other than Peter Jackson to direct THE HOBBIT would be both lunacy and blasphemy. And those are two of the worst ‘y’s. Bob Shaye (the dude who said that Jackson would essentially direct HOBBIT over his dead body) apparently:

“When asked if it was true that company insiders had been in talks with Jackson’s reps, Shaye replied, “Yes, that’s a fair statement. Notwithstanding our personal quarrels, I really respect and admire Peter and would love for him to be creatively involved in some way in ‘The Hobbit.'”

Yeah, that sounds about right to me. The LORD OF THE RINGS flicks made about fifty bazillion dollars in their opening hours and Jackson was a big part of it. Sure, Orlando Bloom was busy being dreamy as hell and Viggo Mortensen somehow made bitching about should he/should he not take the throne look cool, but yeah, Jackson. It was mostly him.
