The Host sequel

JoBloJoBlo

This story smells overwhelmingly of a dramatic fall in standards, but I’m going to report it anyway, since I’m an absolute sucker for Korean film. I’m also a sucker for huge monsters running amok in major cities. According to reports, Chungeoram Productions is already at work on the sequel to Bong Joon-ho’s THE HOST, however the director will not return. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any of his previous films, but if I had to bet either way, I’d bet a lot of the charm of the flick was due to Bong’s direction.

A cast is also yet to be announced, but while the San Fransisco based ‘The Orphanage’ were responsible for the fantastic special effects last time around, this time they’ll be handled by a local company. Production is set to begin this fall.
