Nothing says fun like a psychotic murderer with a Ronald Reagan fetish mowing down hippies at an outdoor concert. If nothing else, David Arquette’s feature directorial debut, of which he wrote the screenplay and in which he stars, THE TRIPPER, proves one thing: Arquette’s one twisted sonofabitch. Which, in the realm of gore and mayhem, is not alltogether a bad thing. It is, in fact, quite a good thing. What’s more, the trailer he recently premiered on MySpace confirms that a sociopath with a penchant for Ronald Reagan attire dispatching hippies in delightfully gruesome ways is just as deliciously twisted as it sounds. Plus, there’s Arquette’s surprisingly big-chested spouse Courtney Cox, Thomas Jane, Paul Reubens and a non-Jay Jason Mewes. It’s good times. And it’s scheduled for release June 1st.
