Statham 3000

JoBloJoBlo

As Paul W.S. Anderson prepares to hit us with his version of an old classic, it appears Jason Statham (THE TRANSPORTER) is in talks to join him. Apparently feeling unfulfilled after working for arguably the most hated director in film, Uwe Boll (ALONE IN THE DARK) in IN THE NAME OF THE KING, Statham felt it would be cool to work with maybe the second most hated, as he makes DEATH RACE 3000.

The movie is supposedly to be a remake of sorts, of DEATH RACE 2000, which is about a new ultraviolent sport called ‘Death Race’ wherein contestants score points by running pedestrians down as they speed across the country. Anderson’s version will be set in the year 2020.
