Cheadle is Davis

JoBloJoBlo

Don Cheadle is set to star in an upcoming biopic of Jazz legend Miles Davis. Cheadle also plans to use the vehicle to make his feature directing debut.

Cheadle seems to be aiming high, having recruited Oscar-nominated screenwriting team, Chris Wilkinson and Steve Rivele (NIXON, ALI). Producer Cary Brokaw has also managed to lock up the rights to most of Davis’ work which is owned by Sony BMG, an issue which had threatened to end the project due to a music rights issue which was blocking developments.

Cheadle will next be seen in REIGN OVER ME with Adam Sandler, and then in OCEAN’S 13 which it was recently confirmed would be premiering later this year at Cannes. Hopefully in this one we can expect the gang to come up with more inventive ways to avoid Barney than Capoeira and looking like Julia Roberts.
