It’s difficult to like Josh Hartnett. He fulfilled most of your fantasies by getting it on with Scarlett Johansson and he starred in the excrutiating PEARL HARBOUR. Men have been assassinated for less. His career might have looked like it was on the up after he featured in SIN CITY, but then THE BLACK DAHLIA happened.
Anyway, he has just signed on to star in AUGUST, an indie flick directed by Austin Chick (XX/XY) about two brothers who try to keep their start-up financial company afloat on Wall Street, just a month before the September 11 attack.
Naomie Harris (who defied science and logic by looking horrific in PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST) will co-star as Sarah. Her role in the story is thus far unknown, but if Hartnett’s past career is anything to go by she’ll probably be his love interest since God seems to love tossing Josh hot young Hollywood actresses to fool around with and get paid for it.
