Verhoeven’s back!

JoBloJoBlo

I’m a huge fan of director Paul Verhoeven and was quite upset when he decided to
“leave” Hollywood in order to return to his roots in Holland (nothing
against the Dutch, of course). This is the man behind such classics as ROBOCOP,
BASIC INSTINCT, TOTAL RECALL and STARSHIP TROOPERS and a man who wasn’t afraid
of slapping an extra dash of sex and violence into this flicks. It’s to note
that ever since he left, the flicks coming out of Hollywood have mostly sucked
the big one, but alas, hopefully he’ll return one day and keep churning out the
cool stuff.

For now though, let’s plug his first
Dutch film entitled BLACK
BOOK
(and no, it’s not a prequel/sequel to Brittany Murphy’s
LITTLE BLACK BOOK), a thriller set for limited release on March 9th.
Early reviews for the film have been very strong, and you can check
out its trailer yourself right HERE.
A first look at the poster below will show that Verhoeven still has
his ‘love for the ladies’ on. Come back, Paul…we miss you, dammit!!!
Alstublieft!!!
