Franco helps Haggis

JoBloJoBlo

James Franco
Mastermind racial experience deconstructor Paul Haggis is amassing yet another impressive ensemble cast for his upcoming directorial effort IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH. James Franco, Frances Fisher, Tim McGraw, Jason Patric and Mehcad Brooks were recently added to the cast with Tommy Lee Jones, Charlize Theron, Susan Sarandon and Jonathan Tucker having previously come onboard. The film, which is currently filming in New Mexico, centers on a war veteran (Jones) who’s son disappears soon after

having returned from Iraq. As for the remainder of the cast, Franco is playing a sergeant, Fisher a waitress, McGraw a police chief, Patric an Army lieutenant and Brooks a

member of the son’s squad. The film will strike at the heart of all this sordid Iraq business and uncover biting insight like “the war isn’t turning out as planned and is, in fact,

getting worse” as only a master racial experience interpreter can provide.
