The Jason Blum-produced THE BOY NEXT DOOR, which stars Jennifer Lopez as a woman who becomes the target of an obsessive neighbor, has found its “boy”. STEP UP REVOLUTION (that’s apparently a movie) star Ryan Guzman is currently in negotiations to star opposite Lopez, Kristin Chenoweth and John Corbett in the thriller, which is being directed by Rob Cohen (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS).

Lopez will play a newly separated mother who finds herself attracted to the teenage boy who moves in next door and befriends her son. When she starts and then abruptly ends their illicit romance, he’s not ready to let her go in a very FATAL ATTRACTION kind of way.

It’s worth noting that Guzman is 26, so he’s not exactly a “boy.”

THE BOY NEXT DOOR is a collaboration between Jason Blum and Universal Pictures; their last, THE PURGE, made $87 million worldwide off a budget of $3 million.
