A man confronts himself, with a vengeance, in the surreal thriller BRAND NEW-U, a U.K.-Irish–Netherlands co-production written and directed by Simon Pummell.
Starring Lachlan Nieboer and Nora-Jane Noone (THE DESCENT; pictured), the film is scheduled to begin shooting this week in London and Dublin.
Set in an alternate reality where other identical versions of people are created, ‘Brand New-U’ focuses on the character of Slater, who searches for the love of his life, Nadia, who has recently gone missing. In an attempt to find her, Slater makes a deal with an organization, Brand New-U, and takes on a new identity. Things start to go awry when the borders between his identities start to blur and Slater must kill his old selves to find the woman he loves.
Not entirely sure I completely follow that synopsis, but we’ll roll with it. It’s bizarre, that much is confirmed.
