Rumor: Foo Fighters team with Hatchet III director for horror comedy

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I can't claim to know a whole lot about the band Foo Fighters, but I do know that the video they released for their song "Everlong" back in 1997 featured a pretty cool tribute to Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, so I guess it's not completely out of left field to hear that the band may be starring in a horror comedy film, even if it is unexpected.

Our friends over at Bloody Disgusting were the first catch word of this news, which they have heard from "multiple insiders" but have not been able to confirm with any official sources just yet – so for now we have to classify this as a RUMOR.

Rumor has it that Foo Fighters teamed with Hatchet III director BJ McDonnell to shoot a top secret horror comedy for Universal Pictures. Apparently packed with "all-star cameos", the film is reportedly about what happens when

the band is haunted during a recording session and become possessed.

So fans can ponder what that might be like while we wait for an official confirmation.
