This is the Way
The Mandalorian and Grogu has been made available at digital outlets, but the 4K UHD and Blu-ray are also set to be released on August 25. The digital and physical releases include several behind-the-scenes featurettes exploring the making of the film, from practical creature effects and miniatures to production design and visual effects, as well as a full-length audio commentary from Favreau.
However, Disney has just announced the date that the new Star Wars film will be streaming for Disney+ subscribers. The official account just posted on social media, “The galaxy’s favorite duo is bringing the adventure home. Stream Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on @DisneyPlus September 2.”
Film Synopsis
Following multiple seasons of The Mandalorian on Disney+, the series’ first theatrical adventure follows Din Djarin and Grogu as they embark on their biggest mission yet, venturing to new worlds, encountering fresh allies and dangerous enemies, and participating in plenty of familiar Star Wars action.
The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.
The film introduces a new character played by Sigourney Weaver, while Jeremy Allen White and Martin Scorsese lend their voices to characters in the story. Jon Favreau directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor.
