A 3-D Zombieland?

Looks like we’ve got both awesome and a bit of disconcerting news about a sequel for Ruben Fleischer’s box-office slaughtering zom-com ZOMBIELAND.

First the good: after torrential online pirating of the film lead to cooled discussions of a sequel, it seems Sony is back on board and very interested in brining Tallahassee and cohorts back to bludgeon leagues of the undead. Which rules!

And according to Moviehole.com, and this is where the news gets iffy (IMO), Fleischer is favoring a 3-D sequel. Apparently feeling the need to cater to such a recent horror trend, Fleischer states “the genre really lends itself to 3-D.”

As far as settings go, Fleischer is unsure, but notes Woody Harrelson is keen on taking the human-vs.-zombie battle to France, or Broadway at the very least. As our girl Niki Stephens noted, there’s no telling how many doobs the Wood man ripped prior to those comments.

As far as timetables go, Fleischer admits a 3-D ZOMBIELAND sequel will commence “whenever we crack it.”

Shoot, between the crack and the doobage, this baby probably won’t roll out for a few years. Guess we’ll see!
