Paramount just released a big handful of new stills from Martin Scorsese’s SHUTTER ISLAND, which is nearly upon us. The flick lands smack in the middle of a pretty exciting February for a change, with FROZEN, THE CRAZIES, and THE WOLFMAN also coming out. This might be the cream of the crop though, given the prestige in front of and behind the camera.
SHUTTER ISLAND is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson and Max Von Sydow, the film comes out FEBRUARY 19th and is rated R for disturbing violent content, language and some nudity.
