Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Seth Grossman will direct THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 3, having replaced Anthony Leonardi. Don’t feel bad if you’ve never heard of either guy, because I haven’t either. According to IMDB, Grossman has a film called THE ELEPHANT KING to his credit, and it starred screen vet Ellen Burstyn, so he at least comes with some big league experience.
The flick has also found its lead actor: Chris Carmack (pictured, right), who is well-known to fans of THE O.C.
If that’s not enough, the film comes outfitted with a new title: BUTTERFLY REVELATION. Now that’s badass. Any scarier and it would be the title of a Jewel album…
Here’s what this thing is about: A young man discovers he has inherited the powers of “The Butterfly Effect” and attempts to solve the mystery of his high school girlfriend’s death using his newfound ability, only to unwittingly unleash a vicious serial killer.
Right now I’ve got to go watch the first two BUTTERFLY EFFECT films, because I want to be completely caught up by the time REVELATION breaks B.O. records… (Not to mention before they begin working on the fourth installment: BUTTERFLY CUTIE-PIE PANTS.)
