A Christmas Carrey?

JoBloJoBlo

Phew! I’ve been scouring the internet for anything to write about and I’ve finally found it. And movie fans, it’s time to get excited. Bob Hoskins recently spoke to Empire Magazine about an upcoming Robert Zemeckis film and had this to say:

He’s going to make A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. He wants me to play Mr Fezziwig. He’s doing in that way he did Polar Express. You stand in a box with that funny suit on and it reads everything you do…Am I going to do it? Of course I am!”

Well um, that’s good news. Let’s see. . .Jim Carrey is one of my favourite actors, Robert Zemeckis has directed at least three of my favourite movies, and Bob Hoskins was in WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT? (directed by Zemeckis) one of my all time faves. I’m a little deterred by Zemeckis’ current obsession with motion capture, as I’m not a huge fan of the medium (although that might all change with his upcoming BEOWULF). But still, this thing better happen, because this is a classic in the making, and if anyone needs that, Jim Carrey, you’re it.
