A foreboding trailer for Sense8 Season 2 warns that a war is coming

By far, one of my most anticipated series returns of the year is the second season of Lana Wachowski's SENSE8. This all-inclusive, emotional powerhouse of a program is filled to the brim with high-concept science fiction that speaks to so many of my sensibilities as someone who loves entertainment based on forging lasting human connections amidst plenty of action, suspense, and sex. If you have yet to check out the first season of this show, you should do that right now. Go ahead, I'll wait …

Wasn't that awesome? I sure hope you checked out the SENSE8 Christmas Special as well, seeing as it fills in the gaps between seasons one and two. Speaking of which, a dark and foreboding trailer for SENSE8 Season 2 was released this morning, which you can watch by clicking on the video posted below:

For those of you who have yet to experience this awesome series, SENSE88 revolves around a group of eight individuals from around the world, who simultaneously experience a violent vision that soon links them all together, mentally and emotionally, connecting them like nothing the world has ever known before. And because they're connected in this special way, each member of the SENSE8 tribe is able to see and talk with one another as if they were in the same place and time. Additionally, they're able to tap into each other's secrets, information, and talents as a way of solving the mystery behind their unique circumstances.

In Season 2, it appears as if the show will take an even darker turn as the group continues to uncover the bizarre truth behind the BPO, an organization searching for their Sense8 group and others like them. Being a major fan of the show, I can already tell that the stakes are much higher this coming season, and sadly, I'm not entirely convinced that all of the SENSE8 crew will survive what's on the horizon. One thing is for certain though, I'll be bing-watching this the moment it hits Netflix.

The cast cast of SENSE8 includes actors Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Terrence Mann, Naveen Andrews and Daryl Hannah.

Season 2 of SENSE8 will arrive on Netflix beginning on May 5, 2017. While you're waiting for that, be sure to catch the first season plus the Christmas Special which are both avvailble to stream right now.
