Just at the beginning of this week, we were hit with the fantastic news that Rebecca DeMornay would be taking on the titular role in Darren Lynn Bousmann’s MOTHER’S DAY remake. Well, today word was just released that another hot blonde has hopped onto the cast. That would be the lovely Ms. AJ Cook (above) from FINAL DESTINATION 2. How does Bousman do it? He’s really got himself one outstanding (and blatantly hot) cast! MOTHER’S DAY actually looks like it may be able to challenge next year’s NIGHTMARE and PIRANHA remakes in terms of anticipation.
The simple, but filled-with-potential, plot goes like this: The sadistic members of a villainous family return to their childhood home to terrorize the new home owners and their guests.
The rest of the fine cast includes Jaime King, Briana Evigan (below), Shawn Ashmore, Patrick Flueger, Lyriq Bent, Lisa Marcos, and Alexa Vega. With King, Evigan, and Vega also in the mix, this flick has just reached “hottie overload”! I’m already in!
