Who knew Lifetime had such a mean streak? We got word from those closet maniacs today that they’ll premiere A LITTLE THING CALLED MURDER on January 23rd at 9pm Eastern. It’s a nasty little concept that looks to be part SCREAM, part MOMMIE DEAREST and part SPANKING THE MONKEY.
The official synopsis goes like this: Fast forgery without mistakes. Shoplifting under pressure. Effective body disposal. The ability to multitask various felonies. These are just a few of the “talents” you might note if Sante Kimes and her son Kenny ever presented you with a copy of their resume. This mother and son are two of the most notorious grifters in modern-day history.
You’ve probably read about some of their antics in the headlines. But until now you’ve never heard the whole story of how this notorious woman manipulated her son into committing the unthinkable! The facts will shock you, and the amazing performances by Emmy Award winners Judy Davis and Jonathan Jackson will blow you away.
You can check out the trailer here. Overall the tone of the piece seems disturbed and fun to me. Judy Davis in particular looks like she really sank her teeth into the madness. I’ve gotta admit I’ve have a whole new level of respect for Lifetime now.
