Here’s a nice big WTF?! for you all: According to E! Online, Ali Lohan – yes, the little sister – has auditioned for the part of young Eunice St. Clair in John Buechler’s TROLL remake. Now, I know it sounds questionable, but they’ve got a quote from Buechler himself, and apparently, he digs the fame-hungry diva-in-training.
“She was great. The camera loves her. She’s a really good actress…I am personally going to fight for her.”
Ali getting the part is also dependent on how her mother Dina can profit and/or get on camera somehow. I’ve got it! Give her a role as one of the singing trolls/plants/mushrooms in the classic “why is there a bunch of singing trolls/plants/mushrooms in a forest apartment?!” sequence. She’d fit right in with those weirdos.
(Just curious: Are there any TROLL purists out there who’re depressed about seeing this get the remake treatment…?)
