A new, action-filled trailer for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword arrives

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

You know what I would love to see? A grand total of how many films are based on the legend of King Arthur. Be it big-budget, B-movie, or dollar store fodder, I would imagine that the amount of times that the epic adventures of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table have been captured on-camera is more than you or I could fathom. That being said, the exploits of King Arthur, mythological as they may be, are legend. It's no wonder that SNATCH, SHERLOCK HOLMES director Guy Ritchie wants to get down on that action, and he'll do it, when KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD opens in theaters on May 12, 2017.

I must admit that previous trailers for this film did next to nothing for me. However, this new cut has me a bit more excited for this film's release. I mean, I probably won't rush to theaters when it opens, but I'll definitely check it out when it hits the home market. My friend Mish is a hardcore nerd for things related to medieval times, so this would be a perfect movie night for us.

This new trailer gives us a broader look at the action featured in the film; complete with masculine roars of descent, spatters of blood flying to and fro, and some good old fashioned rock n roll music to set the mood … I guess? Regardless, this trailer has a lot more energy than the previous ones, and just might do the trick in winning over those who were hesitant on following Arthur and his men into battle, once again, for like, the umpteenth time.

KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD stars Charlie Hunnam, Katie McGrath, Jude Law, Hermione Corfield, Annabelle Wallis, Eric Bana, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Aidan Gillen, Djimon Hounsou, and Millie Brady. Expect swords to clash when the film marches into theaters on May 12, 2017.
