Adam McKay's (STEP BROTHERS, ANCHROMAN) latest film, THE BIG SHORT, follows four outsiders in the world of high-finance who predicted the credit and housing bubble collapse of the mid-2000s and decided to take on the big banks for their greed and lack of foresight. Based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis, the flick stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt and now you can watch some behind-the-scenes action of how it went down!
McKay seems to have a good handle on the material here, although it's late December release date makes me wonder if the movie will be seen by many come its release. Then again, I suppose there aren't a lot of folks who will be on the fence regarding seeing STAR WARS or THE BIG SHORT. With McKay's recent work that ISN'T comedy with Marvel's ANT-MAN script and now this, I'm curious to see where the future of his filmography will take him. THE BIG SHORT certainly doesn't seem like a bad start!
