Do you guys remember back in May, when we heard about those upcoming [REC] sequels GENESIS and APOCALYPSE? Of course you remember! That was some huge news that came clear out of left field! Well guess what?! We’ve got something coming out of right field today!
If you scroll directly below you’ll be able to check out a very early teaser banner for [REC] GENESIS and [REC] APOCALYPSE! Teaser banners are supposed to be as simple as you can get while still snatching the viewers attention. Alright so these posters are similar to all the previuos [REC] stuff but guess what…. they rock! At least that’s this schmuck’s opinion. The guys over at Mad Movies got a look at the teasers at this year’s Cannes festival. Just click through on the shot to check out the Cannes video over at Mad Movies!
[REC] GENESIS will be directed by Paco Plaza with plans to release it in 2011. The film will explore the origins of the diabolic zombie mutant virus partially explained in [REC] 2.
[REC] APOCALYPSE will be directed by Jaume Balaguero with plans to release it in 2012. No plot breakdown has been released for APOCALYPSE yet.
So what do you guys think? [REC] 2 hasn’t even hit theaters here in the US yet (it’ll do so next month) and we’re already seeing movement on these other [REC] sequels! One thing is for sure, if the quality of the [REC] flicks continues to be awesome I’ve got no problem seeing more! And I’m sure I’m not the only one!
