I suppose that this could be considered a spoiler by those of you who wish to remain wholly in the dark as to what’s going on in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. If you are indeed one of those people, then please keep your eyes up here and use the power of your peripheral vision to click away.

Alright, here goes: according to Film Cells Ltd., an official licensee of Warner Bros. film products that makes combination film cell/promotional art plaques, this was the plot description sent to them by Warner Bros. to go along with their plaques for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES:  “When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.”

So nothing too new there, if only by virtue of the fact that those details were relatively easy to deduce from the trailer.  Even so, the above plot description and accompanying plaque picture have since been removed from Film Cell Ltd.’s website.  Guess someone up on high was none too pleased…
