With the sudden and shocking news of Brittany Murphy’s demise last week, what better way to pay tribute than to throw a little love to one of the last flicks she ever took part in. And please believe, the irony is not lost on us when the flick happens to be titled ABANDONED.
So what we’re peering at above is the poster for said flick, and while the shot hardly paints Murphy in her prettiest light, it certainly has far more taste than the egregious DEADLINE poster art that was subsequently yanked from circulation after the announcement of her untimely passing.
Inked by Peter Sullivan (HYDRA, CAVE IN) from a Jeffrey Schenk story, ABANDONED also stars Dean Cain, Mimi Rogers, Kristen Kerr, Peter Bogdanovich (really?), Tara Subkoff, Tim Thomerson, America Young, Caia Coley, and Jay Pickett.
Michael Feifer (THE GRAVEYARD, DRACULA’S GUEST) directed the film, which looks to be released sometime in 2010.
