According to Isla Fisher, a Wedding Crashers sequel is in the works

Waiting a decade before releasing a sequel to a hit comedy film seems the thing to do right now, but have any of those belated sequels ever lived up to the original? Not likely, but that isn't about to stop Hollywood from churning out a few more. According to Isla Fisher, the next comedy flick to get the long-delayed sequel treatment will be WEDDING CRASHERS.

While appearing on The Today Show to promote Tom Ford's NOCTURNAL ANIMALS, Fisher was asked about a sequel to WEDDING CRASHERS.

I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel, so I’m really excited to see what happened to Gloria.

Isla Fisher joked that she probably shouldn't have announced that on morning television as it's not a done deal just yet, but apparently "there's some talk of it, which is fun." WEDDING CRASHERS starred Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as John and Jeremy, a pair of divorce mediators who used the wedding season as an excuse to crash the celebrations and sleep with a lot of women. While attending a wedding for the daughter of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury (played by Christopher Walken), John and Jeremy met the Secretary's two other daughters, Claire (Rachel McAdams) and Gloria (Isla Fisher), the latter of which was an emotionally unstable nymphomaniac who grew obsessed with Jeremy.

Sound off in the comments, do we need a sequel to WEDDING CRASHERS?
