Expendables UFC Footage!
If you’re like me, you’re salivating for anything EXPENDABLES at this point, so a mini-BTS featurette from the Ultimate Fighting Championship should equally entertain and satisfy your hunger. As a promo for UFC 102, you can check out a few scenes of action sprinkled throughout. Think of this as a tease of a tease of a teaser trailer–but like I said earlier, even this is awesome when you’re hunger for anything. Drink it up!
The EXPENDABLES updates doesn’t stop there, though. Word on the street (or simply over HERE) is that Bruce Willis is joining the cast in a cameo, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger! It’s coming from MTV’s Movie Blog, so I’d say this report is legit. Apparently Willis is shooting a special cameo scene alongside Schwarzenegger and Stallone. Did your mind just blow? Mine sure as f*ck did! Can this movie get any better????
The Tournament Trailer!
I’ve always liked Robert Carlyle, and now we get to see him strut his action side in THE TOURNAMENT, a flick that seems to have come out of nowhere from director Scott Mann. The new trailer is below, and in it you’ll see Ving Rhames f*cking shit up, as well as Ian Somerhalder, Kelly Hu, and the great Scott Adkins. But what’s this sucker about, anyway? Check it:
Every seven years in an unsuspecting town, The Tournament takes place. A battle royale between 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins. The last man standing receiving the $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of Worlds No 1, which itself carries the legendary million dollar a bullet price tag.
Wow. Nothing like a tournament of assassins to get the blood pumping. Count me in! The premise is cool, and judging from the trailer below, the action is gonna be top notch. Let’s hope this sucker hits theaters before it hits DVD, as there still isn’t an officially announced release date yet. And I stress the word yet.
Lionsgate lands Kick-Ass!
In a move that screams “finally!” it was announced earlier this week that Matthew Vaughn’s KICK-ASS has finally found a distributor from the good people at Lionsgate.
They showed a few awesomely violent / gory bits in San Diego at the Comic-Con this year, but at the time, the film had not landed any distribution. And all it took was the clips recieving standing ovations from the crowd for studios to notice and take action. Hells yeah.
KICK-ASS is about Dave Lizewski, an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.
He’s not the real ass kicker of the movie though. Just wait until you see Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl strut her stuff. She might be 10, but she’ll f*ck you up in every way you know how. Kick-ass, indeed. Keep it here for the release date!
Law Abiding Citizen goes BOOM!
F. Gary Gray is currently blowing shit up on the set of his latest action movie LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, starring Gerald Butler, Jamie Foxx, and Leslie Bibb.
But don’t take my word for it… just check out the video below on the set as Gray walks us through the motions of what it takes to really blow some shit up for a movie. Cool stuff. And you know what–this flick is lookin’ like it’s gonna rock too. Maybe cause Butler’s badass is in it, or maybe cause the synopsis is too money for words. Check it:

Alba on Machete set!
Robert Rodriguez’s MACHETE has now gained an epic status of the likes of EXPENDABLES due to its ridiculously awesome cast, and hardcore action/violence theme. Starring Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Jonah Hill, Robert De Niro and Tom Savini among others, this film is already legendary in my book.
