Adam Sandler signs up to do four more movies for Netflix

Are you ready for more Adam Sandler movies on Netflix? Because you're going to get them whether you like it or not. Several years ago the actor signed a four-picture deal with the streaming media provider, which has so far resulted in THE RIDICULOUS SIX and THE DO-OVER with SANDY WEXLER on the way. With just one more movie on the original contract, it seems that Netflix wants to stay in the Adam Sandler business. The streaming sevice recently announced that they will be financing and producing four more Adam Sandler movies.

In a statement, Adam Sandler said that he love's "working with Netflix and collaborating with them. I love how passionate they are about making movies and getting them out there for the whole world to see. They’ve made me feel like family and I can’t thank them enough for their support." Although the streaming service doesn't release its viewership numbers, THE RIDICULOUS SIX and THE DO-OVER are apparently Netflix's most-watched original films. Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos added that "Adam Sandler one of the leading comedians in the film world, and his movies have proven to be extremely successful with our subscribers around the world. We are thrilled at the opportunity to extend our partnership with Adam and his entire team at Happy Madison and keep the world laughing."

Although Sandler's collaborations with Netflix haven't been my cup of tea so far, I'd imagine that there are more than a few fans out there who are pleased with this news. The next film on Adam Sandler's Netflix slate, SANDY WEXLER, will debut on April 14, 2017.
