It seems one flick making a huge impression at this month’s Cannes festival is the African zombie flick THE DEAD, which we last told you about back in February. Apparently since then THE DEAD has been making the rounds and is scoring some pretty positive buzz everywhere it goes, especially at Cannes!
To celebrate not only do we have a load of new stills from the flick, including some shots from Cannes, but we’ve also got the first official trailer for THE DEAD over in our videos section! Hell yeah. Screw those minute long teaser trailers, this new trailer is a whopping three minutes and change! Do yourself a favor and check that shite out directly below.
Below you’ll also find the horde of new stills from THE DEAD we’ve been treated to on this fine Friday afternoon. Most of the shots are pretty bland but there are a few decent ones mixed in. Is it just me or are these stills reminding anyone else of RESIDENT EVIL 5? You’ll also find some shots of folks decked out in full zombie mode celebrating THE DEAD at Cannes. That’s some pretty good advertising, no?
After crashing off the coast, Lt. Brian Murphy battles for survival across the vast terrains of Africa in search for a way to get back to his beloved family. Joined by local military man Daniel Dembele who is also searching for his son, together both men join forces all the while battling against the ever present threat of the living dead!
THE DEAD comes from the directing duo of Howard and Jonathan Ford and stars Dan Morgan, Rob Freeman, Glenn Salvage, Benjamin James Elliot, Mark Chapman, Amir Moallemi, Prince David Oseia, Anne Devaud, David Dontoh, Ben Crowe, and Julia Scott-Russell. Unfortunately no word on any sort of release for THE DEAD just yet but hopefully it gets snatched up soon! As always be sure to keep it here for more as we hear it.
