Aftermath: Ashley Greene, Shawn Ashmore star in thriller coming to Netflix

The thriller Aftermath, starring Ashley Greene (the Twilight saga) and Shawn Ashmore (Adam Green's Frozen) will be available to watch through the Netflix streaming service as of August 4th, but if you're interested in this movie and you're not a Netflix subscriber, Quiver Distribution has you covered. The company will be bringing Aftermath to digital and VOD sometime this fall.

This is the first film from director Peter Winther's newly launched company Winther Brothers Entertainment – which he formed with his brother Lars Winther, thus the name. Based on "an actual event", Aftermath centers on

a young couple (Greene and Ashmore) struggling to stay together, when they are offered an amazing deal on a home with a questionable past that would normally be beyond their means. In a final attempt to start fresh as a couple they take the deal. However, soon after moving in, the couple falls prey to strange and disturbing occurrences, and eventually learn that the house has a more troubling history than either of them anticipated.

Peter Winther developed the story with screenwriter Dakota Gorman. Greene and Ashmore are joined in the cast by Diana Hopper (Goliath), Britt Baron (Glow), Sharif Atkins (The 4400), and Ross McCall (White Collar).

The Winther brothers produced the film alongside Rick Sasner and James Andrew Felts. William G. Santor, Andrew Chang-Zang, John Hills, and Michael D. Jones served as executive producers. The financing came from River Run Entertainment, Productivity Media, and Motion Picture Exchange.

Even though the Netflix release is only one week away, the streamer hasn't put a trailer online yet. There is a trailer for a Spanish release of the movie, complete with Spanish subtitles and the title Mudanza Mortal. You can see that trailer below, and judging by what it shows it looks like Aftermath might be worth a watch.
