The Walker, Texas Ranger star suits back up in military fatigues to take down aliens in a new sci-fi, action film.

There is a Chuck Norris joke that says, “Chuck Norris doesn’t sleep. He waits.” Well, Norris is no longer waiting. The Karate champion-turned-action star-turned-meme would make his last outing in a bonafide starring role in 2005’s The Cutter. He would since make appearances in tongue-in-cheek cameos capitalizing on his meme fame. Even his brief appearance in 2012’s The Expendables 2 would feature him making a Chuck Norris joke. At 83 years old, it’s not a bad way to continue a career in entertainment. However, Norris is not quite ready to hang up his action fatigues.

Deadline now reports that Chuck Norris is set to make a triumphant return in an action and sci-fi film titled Agent Recon. The film has been completed from Quiver Distribution, and the American Film Market is underway with film sales, which will include this film from Millennium Media. The military action film is also featuring fellow genre star Marc Singer, known for the alien sci-fi V and The Beastmaster movies. Derek Ting is starring alongside Norris and Singer as well as being on board as the credited writer and director.

The plot, according to Deadline, involves “Alastair (Norris), the commander of a covert Earth security task force, calls upon super-powered rookie Jim (Ting) to go on a mission led by battle-hardened Colonel Green (Singer) and his seasoned marines to track a mysterious energy disturbance at a base in New Mexico suspected of experimenting on alien technology. When the team encounters an unknown being of not only extraordinary strength and speed, but also the ability to control mindless warriors, the trio must fight through unstoppable hordes to uncover the truth behind the hostile alien fortress and prevent humanity’s demise.”

Quivera enthusiastically shares, “We have been looking for an opportunity to work with the legendary Chuck Norris where he could show off his still exceptional fighting skills.” Ting adds, “that with Earth’s greatest heroes Chuck Norris and Marc Singer literally gearing up for this, I knew we had to make sure fans experience epic fun. My stunt team pushed the boundaries of my vision for clear grounded action elevated with motivated storytelling, and we had Chuck’s son Dakota come on board to choreograph all of his father’s fight sequences. Moreover, we filmed on the cinematic ARRI Alexa cameras at Hollywood’s most breathtaking sets and landscapes and finished it off with cutting-edge visual effects, an invigorating score, and heart-pumping sound effects.”

Quiver plans to release Agent Recon in 2024.
