Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Clark Gregg to co-star in Spinning Man thriller

I would imagine that, if you're an actor who's an integral part of Marvel's cinematic or extended universe, it's tough to find room in your busy schedule to participate in other projects. That being said, it appears as if MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D lead Clark Gregg has managed to carve out enough time to join Simon Kaijer's SPINNING MAN thriller in a co-starring role.

As reported by Deadline Hollywood, Clark will join actors Guy Pearce, Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver, and Odeya Rush for a film based on George Harrar's novel of the same name. The film will focus on Evan (Pearce), a philosophy professor and family man whose past reveals a number of illicit relations with his students. When a young woman is found murdered, he becomes the prime suspect. Gregg will step into the role of Paul, a lawyer who helps Evan sort out the legality of his relationship with his students. Ellen S. Wander and Keith Arnold are producers on the film with Film Bridge International in charge of worldwide sales.

Yikes! It sounds to me like Evan's past dealings have placed him at the center of a very sordid affair. If he's not guilty than who is, and will Paul be able to help bring the real killer in to answer for their heinous crime? We'll have to wait until more details arise before we can get some clarity on these dealings, as SPINNING MAN has yet to receive a release date.

In the meantime, you can catch Clark Gregg when he appears as Agent Coulson on MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., which has recently been picked up for a fifth season.
