Claymation/stop-motion is akin to magic for me. I have a only hazy idea of how things are really done, and that’s just fine. But whatever inkling I do have as to the process comes from fantastic behind-the-scenes pictures like the ones below that the guys at Collider picked up recently for THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS.

The flim, which took eighteen months of intensive work to bring to life, releases in 3D this coming April 27th and stars the voices of Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek, David Tennant, Brendan Gleeson, Martin Freeman, Jeremy Piven, and Imelda Staunton.
