Ahsoka Tano returns in new trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars filled the gap between ATTACK OF THE CLONES and REVENGE OF THE SITH, but unfortunately, the animated series was never given the chance at a proper finale as Disney elected to pull the plug rather than continue. Sure, we got a handful of episodes in the form of The Lost Missions, but it was hardly the finale which creator Dave Filoni had envisioned.

It was announced last year that Star Wars: The Clone Wars would return for a final season which will give the series the conclusion it deserved, and a new trailer for the new season has been released which gives us a look at the action these final 12-episodes will unleash. After exiting the series in the fifth season, as well as the Jedi Order, Ahsoka Tano is back in full force for the new season. "Ahsoka, we see her in Rebels and she has come so far," said voice-actress Ashley Eckstein. "We had to go back to that place where she still had so much to learn. She’s a bit lost. She just walked away from the Jedi Order, and she’s just going wherever the wind takes her." Ahsoka's new path takes her to Level 1313, "a bad neighborhood plagued by crime and wrongdoing, where she befriends two sisters who are also trying to survive." The trailer comes to a close with a tantalizing glimpse at a duel between Darth Maul and Ahsoka, and Dave Filoni revealed that Ray Park actually strapped on a motion-capture suit to portray the physical side of Maul (Sam Witwer provides the voice). "When you see Maul fighting, it’s gonna be really Maul fighting," Filoni said. "There’s just something unique about the way Ray moves."

There's still no firm release date for the final season, but it will debut on Disney+ which will launch on November 12, 2019.
