Aja talks Waiting

What do you do when you’ve just finished directing one of the most anticipated horror movies of the year? Why, have plans to make another one! Director Alexandre Aja sat down and talked with the boys over at Blairwitch.de today, and not only did he talk about his remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES, but he talked about his next flick THE WAITING!


It is of the opinion of this writer that Aja is one of the most talented directors out there- with last year’s HIGH TENSION under his belt, and now EYES- I would of rather seen him behind the new Jason mask, but seeing as I’m not the one who makes those decisions, my opinion doesn’t really matter.


So what of this next project of his? Here’s a taste of what he had to say:

It’s really like the opposite of “Hills”. It’s something really about supernatural and psychology. It’s about a young couple that has lost a young boy and about the wife just becoming more crazy and crazy. It’s really different. And there is some very big twist – I can’t tell you more, I’m sorry, but it’s a great script.


Somehow the fact that there’s a big twist in there doesn’t surprise me. Cool story though, I’m all about chicks who go crazy. Sounds like a serious mind-f*ck to me, and with Aja painting this portrait for us- I’m totally there.
