Alan Dale joins Priest

The cast for PRIEST keeps on growing, and we keep on telling you about it! Vicious cycle, that. This time it’s New Zealand actor Alan Dale who has joined, according to the Twitter page of director Scott Stewart (LEGION). I’d say that’s a pretty reliable source.

Fans of “Lost” will recognize Dale as the sinister tycoon Charles Widmore. He was recently (briefly) seen in INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, and is in the upcoming remake DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK.

Dale will play “Monsignor Chamberlain” in PRIEST, which also stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Stephen Moyer, Karl Urban, Christopher Plummer, and Maggie Q (pictured below). It has a release date of AUGUST 13th, 2010, and is about a priest who disobeys church law to track down the vampires who kidnapped his niece.
