I’m talking about Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan. Perez Hilton is saying that ‘an industry insider’ is letting on that the two are now broken up! Both professionally and personally… but that’s not all.
Rodriguez/McGowen were set to tackle a number of projects, including RED SONJA (right) and WOMAN IN CHAINS. Rumors are flying in on another of their projects though… one BARBARELLA, which has been in the works for a while now.
According to Perez… rumor has it that none other than Jessica Alba (below) is being eyed to put on the leather and star as the sci-fi goddess Barbarella.
Of course you should take that with a grain of salt… you know how the whole ‘studio says this person but they deny it’ thing goes. Apparently the studio wants a big named female in the lead before they back the film with lots of money. Can’t blame them there.
BARBARELLA seems right down Alba’s alley too, seeing how she hasn’t had much success with anything outside DARK ANGEL and IDLE HANDS, unless of course she’s wearing a bikini… which is always fun to watch. We’ll keep you updated.
