The debut of yet another streaming service is just over the horizon, and as usual, it will arrive with a number of original programs to help lure you into spending a few more dollars. One of the shows arriving with the debut of NBCUniversal's upcoming streaming service, known as Peacock, is Brave New World, an adaptation of Aldous Huxley's groundbreaking sci-fi novel of the same name. A new trailer for the series has been released, which you can check out above.

Brave New World "imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself." The series stars Alden Ehrenreich as John the Savage, as well as Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenina, Demi Moore as Linda, Harry Lloyd as Bernard Marx, Hannah John-Kamen as Wilhelmina, Sen Mitsuji as Henry Foster, Joseph Morgan as CJack60, Nina Sosanya as Mustafa Mond, and Kylie Bunbury as Frannie. "How hard is it to be happy, and what does that really mean?" said showrunner David Wiener while speaking with Entertainment Weekly. "It’s the forever problem with people." Wiener continued, saying that the series is "less about the Orwellian problems of how to overthrow the state or challenges that people have. We come from the perspective of, it’s a utopian novel [and] the dystopia it really ultimately reveals is the dystopia inside us."

The official synopsis for Brave New World:

Based on Aldous Huxley’s groundbreaking novel, Brave New World imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family, and history itself. As citizens of New London, Bernard Marx and Lenina Crowne embark on a vacation to the Savage Lands, where they become embroiled in a harrowing and violent rebellion. Bernard and Lenina are rescued by John the Savage, who escapes with them back to New London. John’s arrival in the New World soon threatens to disrupt its utopian harmony, leaving Bernard and Lenina to grapple with the repercussions.

Brave New World will debut on the Peacock streaming service on July 15, 2020.
