So why is it running away from THE LAST EXORCISM? It was announced today that Dimension Films are moving PIRANHA 3D up one week to August 20th, leaving THE LAST EXORCISM by it’s lonesome on August 27th. Alright… Not sure why this move was needed… Sure it’s never good to see two quality genre flicks being released on the same day, especially during Summer blockbuster season… but THE LAST EXORCISM? Now granted the flick is looking pretty sick but do you really think it can go toe-to-toe with PIRANHA 3D? Apparently the folks over at Dimension Films would rather not take that chance. That works though, we all get to see the gore-fest one week earlier now! (Then once again the week after if you so please…)
PIRANHA 3-D is set in In Lake Havasu, Arizona, when a tremor causes the lake’s floor to open, setting free scores of prehistoric piranhas… Theyre back! The film sports an impressive all-star cast that includes Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Eli Roth, Christopher Lloyd, Jessica Szhor, Kelly Brook, Jerry O’Connell, Riley Steele (below), Richard Dreyfus and Ving Rhames.
