Now, according to Deadline, Mulligan and Foster have both dropped out for whatever reason (likely scheduling). But stepping in for Mulligan is Mia Wasikowska (JANE EYRE, ALICE IN WONDERLAND) who’s now entered negotiations to take over the film’s lead role. And judging from Deadline’s language in regards to Park’s involvement, it would appear he’s now solidified as the film’s director. He’ll be getting support from Ridley and Tony Scott who are both on board as producers through their Scott Free film banner.
STOKER – written by “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller (under the pseudonym ‘Ted Foulke’) and described as a “Hitchcokian” tale – is “a dramatic thriller about a young woman whose eccentric uncle comes back into her life after the death of her father.”
